Attendees come to Applied Net each year to meet great people and learn new things. But how do you spark those meaningful conversations? It all starts with Peer-to-Peer Connect.
What’s Peer-to-Peer Connect?
Peer-to-Peer Connect (previously Braindate) is our networking platform that helps you tap into the experiences and expertise of your fellow attendees. It’s an easy way to connect and learn from each other through conversations about things of interest to you. Share your knowledge through one-on-one or group conversations called “Connects” with other attendees.
A topic is the knowledge someone is willing to share in the form of a conversation starter. It can be personal or professional – anything you’re passionate about! It consists of a short title, ”How I learned about this,“ and tags. All the topics are visible in the Topic Market.
Good topic titles are specific yet enticing.

Remember to add tags to help others find your topic and understand it better.
How does it work?
Log in to Peer-to-Peer Connect using the email address provided at registration and create a new password for your account. Once there, customize your profile to tell others more about yourself. Don’t be afraid to share your expertise, hobbies, and sense of humor!
Next, post a topic about something you’re interested in discussing into the Topic Market. It could be a question, something you’d like to share knowledge about, or a general call for networking with your peers. Participants who want to dive into your topic can send you an invitation to meet face-to-face during the event. You can also explore topics that interest you with the Search, Sort, and Filter functions, then send invitations for one-on-one Connects or join group ones directly.
You’ll receive email reminders from the platform when you have new invitations and before your booked sessions are set to begin.

When can you schedule your Connects and where do they take place?
Starting Monday, September 12, you can activate your account. Once you’ve set up your profile, you can post topics, reserve your spot in group Connects, and start sending/receiving invites for one-on-ones. However, you can only schedule Connects for the following days and times:
Monday, October 3, from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Tuesday, October 4, from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Connects will take place in the Peer-to-Peer Connect Lounge in the Presidential Lobby. When you arrive for your Connect, check in at the desk and someone will tell you which table to sit at.
